Pros
The story is fluent and mesmerizing. The characters are believable and the story is probably accurate in the pathologic relationship between science and government. This tale illustrates just how fickle humans can be when it comes to beliefs.

Book is able to cover imagination. It keeps you intrigued the entire time. Enough to purchase the second book.

The story follows a common trope in ya books. This trope is made fun of for being unrealistic.

Simple, easy to read and very absorbing.
Kids solving adult problems with simple logic and the adults actually listen and act on the solution.
I thought the characters were well developed and the storyline was also well done.

They're cheap enough that it's the same as buying 1 real book to get all 4 at the same time.

I want to start with mentioning that this is definitely a book more suited towards the young adult category than it is science fiction strictly because of the main protagonist and how the book itself is written

Like many diseases in the world it comes with some unanticipated and somewhat unwanted side effects that complicate the protagonists life at home and school

Alas this is the point that my interest was piqued but as more of a throwback to reading a book in middle school verses reading a book now as a fullfledged adult
