Pros & Cons
Pros
Travelpro continues to impress beyond expectations. Solid, handles in all the right places, pull handle finally long enough to be practical yet really feels like it solid. Good quality material and soft wheel action.
Only difference is that there isn't a passthrough usb cable for a battery pack (which is pointless lol). This maximizes the space, and allows for the all important suiter. This case is so capacious and well thought out re the layout of compartments, p... Read More
The wheels are sturdy and glide smoothly, the telescoping handle is ergonomic. It is not a swivel/spinner case but the in line casters work well.
If you're looking for a nice suiter bag without a lot of bells and whistles, this bag is perfect. It is a very handsome, streamlined bag that looks much more expensive than its price. If you can find these gems out there, they are worth snapping up as... Read More
Cons
This sounds downright deceptive and makes me wonder what is even covered.
The warranty appears to be a marketing ploy as it is, in effect, no warranty at all. Have an older version, the warranty is a joke. Read the forums.
Highlights
Quality
Solid, handles in all the right places, pull handle finally long enough to be practical yet really feels like it solid.
Only used it a couple times so far but well built and durable.
One of the zipper handles for the large front pouch detached upon first use.
Older versions like the crew 6 had a very good one that honestly prevented wrinkles--this one is reversed and is largely useless.
Price
For around $100, this bag offers great value for a large carry-on.
What a great bag at an excellent price.
Seems like a good choice taking in account cost and quality.
It is fantastic -money very well spent.
Shipping
Took it on a two week trip and it held everything he needed to take.
Packaging/appearance
I was specifically looking for a 22-inch bag since i want the most packing room possible on domestic flights.
Didn't want a four-wheeler because those have less packing space for the same external dimensions and i don't care about "only"... Read More
Competitiveness
The crew 10 is the last of this line that provides the quality you expect from travelpro.
If you extend the depth by unzipping the extender then technically you are over the limit for some airlines such as delta.
This bag is almost exactly the same as the most recent (and expensive) crew model, but 1/3 of the price.
The later models (crew 11 and on) have abandoned this approach and are built to compete with the rest of the consumer-grade bags out there.
