Nice small size tucks away out of sight. Just fine for residential/soho use.

Has lasted two months so far, hopefully much longer. No lags. Unit sits behind my component stack, so the plastic case is not subject to physical damage.

Cons

Its wrong and misleading. Failed after a year. It's not a big enough issue to bother returning, but it is proving to be a bit of a pita.

Not a peep from this item when plugged in. The actual throughput this device provides is not as expected.

There's not much that can be said for unmanaged switches to begin with, other than their build quality and if they function as expected.

Cisco, hp switches, meraki or even netgear), but the price of these are ridiculously low by comparison.

Competitiveness

I’ve used trendnet for years and it’s always beaten my expectations for the price.

I have used 10/100 trendnet switches before, and this gigabit model does the job just fine.

We use this (older, but still great) model with a 2017 velop linksys router (pricey) and it works great.

Never had any problems in the past with trendnet poducts at all.
