Pros

No fuss, 2 minute install. Only potential disadvantage is that you have to press multiple *. Understanding what a low priced kvm will and will not do is key to using it successfully.

Cons

Second, sometimes it just stops working entirely. Replacement (also purchased through amazon) lasted only until 11/2016, so i purchased a third switch in (through amazon) which lasted until 2/2017. This junk goes right back to amazon as we speak.

Trendnet tk-407k is a piece of junk. Totally underwhelmed by trendnet.

Scroll lock and hotkey feature only works part time between windows xp boxes. The delay is too slow when switching between computers.

Every time i open the vmware console, the kvm switch toggles my connection and disconnects it. Other kvm switches have no trouble switching in <1sec, so if you're used to switching back and forth a lot, avoid this product.

This is a great kvm for the price, i have ordered several of these and they function without issues.

I didn't want to spend $500 or more on a multi-monitor kvm switch.

Instead of losing a $500 device, you only lose a $20 device.

I think i'm going to have to secure the box with a zip tie, some velcro or something, to keep it stationary.

Have use similar device on other machines and completely happy with it.

The other brand cost about the same, but it didn't supply all of the necessary cables.

I ordered another brand switch box from amazon and it didn't work.

Also, the other brand only had one button to switch from computer 1 and 2 while this one has a button for each computer.
