Pros & Cons
Pros
Cables are mostly solid core cat6, and 1 - 2 cat5e stranded core (off the shelf cable). Pros;metal frame seems sturdyslots are pretty tight, worked on stranded core cat5e cable w/o issue. Included several white zip ties cable organizers.
This cat6 patch panel replaces the (then) good-enough set of cat6 jacks i fitted in a 4 x 3 port faceplate on a 2-gang wall mounted box. The patch panels are inexpensive and functional.
Trendnet products are good. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Product is good value, but would i use it in an enterprise setting? Currently have 18 of the 24 slots being used and haven't had any issues. Item looks very well made, not expecting any issues.
It handles 1gb without problems. I do daily backups directed to 2 nas boxes, large number of gb's.
Cons
Buyer beware. Multiple dead ports. Wasted hours troubleshooting it.
Highlights
Quality
Our professional installer was very pleased to work with this product.
I would say this is a 5 star product.
The quality of the punch downs is great and i had no trouble with termination.
Price
Cannot beat the price, quality, and prime shipping.
Competitiveness
Great construction - trendnet products are good.
Used this to connect about 20 cat6 cables.
Remember that cat6 cable shouldn't be untwisted more than 0.
Terminate your cat6 cable to the back of this panel and then jump from the panel to your switch with another cat6 patch cable.
