Highlights
Quality
Works great, plug and play set up and easy to keep wires organized.
So far, after one week of ownership, it has worked flawlessly and hopefully it will continue to do so (knock on wood ).
5 gigabits with negligible packet loss, even using the 20 year old cat5 in my walls.
Hardwire the router only, satellites can just give internet thru wired, they can’t receive it thru wire.
Price
5g switch is a great value for money.
5 gig internet and this work perfectly and is not super expensive.
For the cost, it was worth the money to increase my communication speeds, but would prefer managed devices for security
I wish the price were closer to $60 considering 2.
Shipping
I am getting faster local transfer speed.
It's fast, ports are linking at 2.
Packaging/appearance
These are nice little boxes that keep what they promise.
Just in case, it comes with a special psu, but luckily, in the box, it comes with a wall adapter, just for south american markets.
I have it in media box to trasfer thru out apt.
Competitiveness
I tried an equivalent unknown name brand that cost less, but it did not work well at all.
Also, my kit had a cheap dc power plug with an even cheaper plastic european snap-in adapter with no us plug or adapter included.
I purposely went with this over slightly cheaper versions because trendnet is a brand i am familiar with and have a decent level of trust.
While it's on the higher end price-wise, i preferred to invest in a reputable brand for reliability and quality.
