Pros

The trendnet 8-port gigabit greennet switch has a top-of-the-line performance. It can transfer large files, stream high-quality video, and access online content with lightning-fast speeds, without any lag or interruptions. It also has an eco-friendly ...  Read More

Roku tv, blu-ray player, nas backup device, htpc. G usb adapters for my older work pc and my nas. All my devices are 100 megabit except for the 1 lan port which connects back to my gigabit router.

I use this switch with my orbi router that has a 2. Wired connection. Works well for 2.

This is a bit of a pricy switch, but this is what it takes to get 1. G switch. My only hesitation is that this switch is not smart and therefore i can't set up things like link-agg.

Cons

Bought it in august, plugged it in for the first time during november, lasted until december. Intermittently loses its ip address and the entire network goes with it. The warranty from trendnet is useless as well.

Network switch works great as long as it dosent overheat. Only recognized my nas devices, ethernet printers, etc. You can't tell if it connects at 1000 as there are no led's that change color for the different speeds.

Quality

Very happy with my upgrade:* reliable connectivity* reliable poe power* full speed* quiet (no fans)* enabled wifi6 on my aps

Excellent switch and it does what it is supposed to without any issues.

The construction is solid with a metal housing and both mounting holes and rubber feet on the bottom.

5 gb ports to expand my gigabit fiber wan into the furthest ethernet reaches of my house without holding back.

Price

Best price per port - plug and play - works with all my 2.

Enter this product which met all my criteria (and then some) for what i consider to be a resonance price.

If you're going to spend a decent amount of $ for a wifi-6e system, don't skimp on the switch.

Not sure why these are so cheap.

Packaging/appearance

Not the worst-looking black box in my ever growing collection of mysterious network-related gear.

We have two nas boxes, one for backup so speed between them was critical.

Competitiveness

This switch is secondary to my wifi router, but ticks all of my boxes -- and the price is great.

I was thinking of getting either a mikrotik or tp-link switch, but this one is more cost-effective while still being a recognized brand.

I'm just getting 100mb less rx on the fiber uplink, but that's probably due to more overhead and activity upstream.
