Pros & Cons
Pros
The best thing that separates these from others is that the port lights and the actual plug port are on opposite sides. This means you plug your cables and power into the back, and the front has the lights for you to see what is plugged in and active.... Read More
Cons
Maybe this one is a dud, but it's frustrating when a company won't stand behind their product. Had to accept a refund. The warranty from trendnet is useless as well.
The switch works, but you can't tell if it connects at 1000 as there are no led's that change color for the different speeds. After 1 month of use, intermittently loses its ip address and the entire network goes with it. I have a gigabit switch in my ... Read More

Great product, plug and play and ready to go.
The construction is solid with a metal housing and both mounting holes and rubber feet on the bottom.

Price
5gig without issue and at a reasonable price
Great price for an 8 port gb switch that we used to replace a 10/100 switch.
If you're going to spend a decent amount of $ for a wifi-6e system, don't skimp on the switch.
Brings order to multiple internet connections at a reasonable price.

Competitiveness

The cost of the 8 port is very close to a 5 port so just go for the 8 if questioning its really not that large in size

Att is the only company i know that offers anything close anyway

The devices plugged in must have a bandwidth over 1gbs to make this worthwhile

In many cases it’s your drives that can’t keep up and are the bottleneck so of course my spinning drives might not be as fast as my ssds

As an unmanaged switch this is plug and play
