Pros

Great product. Extremely delighted. I always carry a tripp-lite or staples in case of a compatibility issue. Cable is a decent length.

The dsub-9/db-9 serial port has been around since the early 1960's. It is still used to connect to legacy equipment from the early 1970's. The adapter works on both cisco and brocade devices.

Cons

Bsod issues with the com driver. Drivers give me the blue screen of death and crashing my windows xp system. This seems to be a problem with the prolific chipset. I recommend searching for an ftdi usb to serial rs232 adapter cable.

This is very cheaply made. It is unreasonable to not have removable lock nuts.
