Fabric is definitely 5oz flannel, which is good quality. These flannel sheets fit my extra tall cal king mattress perfectly. They stay snug and don't pull away from the corners of the mattress.

Unless everything in your bedroom is purple and then you might like the contrast or layering of a neutral seeming brownish purple

One of the blue flowers has a pale yellow center that my computer screen had not picked up
