Pros

The tribest tea kettle surpasses both in usefulness and in aesthetics. The glass kettle with the steel band just looks beautiful, especially when it is on boiling mode and the base is lit with blue.

I was astounded by the difference in speed. Simmer is faster than using a microwave.

The carafe holds a full 1. Gallons of water. It's lighter than a braun and works just as well. The only drawback is that i get my water from the refrigerator filter.

Not a low quality plastic, but i would be pretty surprised if it was actually glass.

In the rv, you don't want to waste propane and if we are boon docking, the microwave will only work with the generator on.

Packaging/appearance

There is a straining screen on the lid/pouring spout, so i thought maybe tea goes in the kettle, but the directions say only water.

So i have to get water in another container and pour it into the kettle.

I have one concern: minerals from the water might stain the inside of the kettle and discolor it.
