The sousvant also has a circulation pump that ensures even heating rather than just using convection as most sous vides do.
This is awesome. I just wish it has and app and some kind of remote connectivity.
Sv-101 takes care of itself, much like a slow-cooker. Food is moist and perfectly cooked each time. Protein, starch and vegetable all in one bag.
A great product, except for those wants automated timed cooking. I'm retired, but my girlfriend still works, so i cook on school nights. This cooker is a great design.

Cons
Started leaking after two months from the seals between the tank and the base unit. My unit leaks, too. You have to send the unit back and pay the shipping, which was very expensive. Bs policy, but i am forced to do this or * almost four hundred.

Sousvant's taste-to-price ratio is a great value for family cooking, and excellent even for singles.
And all, for less than half their cost!
$300 for a bit over 2 years of use.
Price is relative to the person though.

Packaging/appearance
Packaging the heating element, the interface, and the container - and making it clear!
I had packaged them by two's for my sister and myself and that worked way better that the oven or microwave.
Competitiveness
I think it's clearer than a sous vide supreme and much better than most diy temperature controllers.
Pressure cookers results in mushy fish or vegetables, and sousvant’s chicken’s results are also superior.
I can't compare this one to any other machines because this is the only one i've ever owned.
