Everything about this outlet ticks the box. Protected on/off switch. Cover over the switch to prevent accidental shutoff.
Built well and had good specifications. Solid steel throughout. Antithesis to all that made-in-china plastic junk. If this thing ever caught on fire, i have no doubt that the solid steel case would smother that fire and not complain.

Amazon search incorrectly catagorizes this a surge strip. The prongs are opposite of my plug.
