Pros

This inverter is perfect for our tailgating needs. It is fairly compact and easy to use. It's relatively easy to install even for those like me who are not especially handy.

It takes the 12vdc from the car battery and converts it into 110vac to plug things in to. It connects to your vehicle's battery in order to power two power plugs and one usb cable.

Construction and build quality of this inverter is absolutely first rate. Made well, seems to be built like a tank, and should last with proper care. As for reliability, it's solid as a rock.

Cons

It doesn't connect to the power outlet in the car, it connects directly to the battery. And the battery cables aren't long enough to extend into the cab of the car.

Tripp lite products have always impressed me as far as their quality for the price point they are at.

Construction and build quality of this inverter is absolutely first rate.

With the engine running and traveling on a freeway, you cannot hear it.

Competitiveness

This unit is powerful enough to charge 2 laptops as well as power any modern 120v devices i want to take with me.

The 1000w inverter is sort of on the lower end of their big inverters but i just don't have the room or use for a 3000w inverter.
