On and off are somewhat crackly and getting between the two without arcing is all but impossible

This is extremely bad for any attached electronics and can shorten power supply service life considerably and is a big enough problem you should not anticipate routinely using the power strips power switch as an onoff switch so much as a safety when disassembling high voltage devices that might be hard wired into something on this circuit

Everyone had 15 amps but not the 20amp

I have a 1480 watt device that i control via a smartplug and the device has worked its way through a number of standard 15a powerstrips even though the smartplugs energy monitoring says the wattage has stayed under 1800 limits
