Tripp-lite has 6 battery backup outlets and 6 surge protection only outlets. It also has surge protection outlets for phone line and ethernet connections along with 2 usb charging ports.
Tripp lite is one of the 2 major brands most of us will recognize for ups and surge suppression devices. The apc looks easier to service, and most importantly, the apc actually worked.
Tripp lite is a good starter/low end model for non mission-critical applications. All in all, fairly simple and straightforward. I'm pleased with it's performance.
Cons
The tripp-lite beeps incessantly when something is wrong. It's difficult to remove plugs from the outlets. Battery only has 3 plugs that are actually for powering items. The unit occasionally shuts itself off for no reason.
Eco or not - that pretty much defeats the purpose of a ups unless you know for sure that your power draw will never be below the minimums. The apc power software is far superior. But apc build and product quality is slightly less than tripplite.

I live in texas and ercot can’t get their act together so it’s really nice to own a ups that only alarms when it’s batteries are nearly depleted instead of the entire time there isn’t utility power
