Pros

Bought the 3 outlet black unit with 2 usb ports to mount on my workbench. Jiggling the usb plug on the port would start the charging again. It has a good number of outlets, spaced out.

Triplite has excellent reputation for manufacture of surge protectors. My only concern is that one reviewer noticed a malfunctioning usb.

Cons

Downgraded my initial 4-star review due to compatibility issues. Also, the usb ports max out at 2. No shipping box or outside packing. Returned for refund.

Cheaper brands tend to fall short of their own specs and, in some cases, are plagued with quality control issues. This is worthless.

I like the solid construction and secure mounting.

This thing is solidly built and so far is holding up great.

After a few weeks the surge protector fell and peeled some of the underside of the desk coating off.

After swapping usb cords and eliminating weak plugs on the lights as the issue it had to be the usb port at fault.

Price

It was surprisingly hard to find at any price.

It's a bit pricey but perfect for my needs.

Buy the tripp-lite, it's worth the extra $5.

Competitiveness

Skip all of the no name brands and go with a proven, ul listed option from tripplite.

I came very close to buying another cheaper brand, but opted for this one for the brand reputation and more solid reviews.
