More important than the joules rating is the clamping coltage rating. These power strips are monitored and rated at 1000 joules.

This is pretty much a no-brainer for less than $25.

Tripp lite offers good protection at a good price point.

This one is l-n 330 v - l-g 400 v - n-g 400 v, as low as it can get without the price getting ridiculous.

The value for the money is exceptional.
