Pros & Cons
Pros
Tripp lite 12 outlet surge protector power strip is like the superhero of power strips. Needed a surge strip to mount to wall and plug electronics into. Tripp lite is the standard for quality power distribution and surge protection products.
The power cord is a hefty gauge and a great length. Good spacing between sockets for larger power bricks. Works great when used with short (6-12”) extension cords for extra large plug power bricks or other akwardly shaped devices.
Comes with outlet covers for the outlets not in use, and wall mounting hardware. Narrow enough to fit sideways on the floor under a side table for all the computer printer and other. Mounting clips are strong. The screws that it comes with are machine... Read More
Cons
I'm not sure who packaged it but the cardboard was literally wrapped around it in spots. It was ripped in multiple areas exposing the raw strip. Small, tight across the bill.
Highlights
Quality
Perfect fit and size for my purposes--nicely made, built to last
This is a top quality piece of equipment.
Bit on a pain to get the mounting brackets on, but as soon as they are it's rock solid.
I was soooo done with crazy chains of cheap 6-outlet power strings plugged into other 6-outlet power strips plugged into extens... Read More
Shipping
Fairly quick delivery, decently packaged and arrived perfectly.
It was just what i needed snd was delivered faster then expected
Once that was discovered, and #8 screws and washers located, all went very quickly.
Packaging/appearance
And the flat screw and bolt sets that came in the pack with the clip-on pieces are not what you need to attach the pieces.
Competitiveness
There were some consumer safety reports in the news recently about non name brand power supplies/cables failing.
I won't be buying off-brand power strips anymore.
There are many different brands to choose from, but most of them are simply extension cords with multiple outlets at the end.
I'm generally a fan of tripplite's commercial style (metal bodied) surge protectors, and this one no less than the 4 or 5 others i own.

I do recommend using anchors if youre wall mounting this the clamps hang onto the power strip super tight and you might just rip out a hole in the wall trying to take the power strip out of the clamps

The power cord is very thick and the strip itself is heavy relevant to its size
