Light enters one side of the cable, and exits the other side.

This cable did give us a bit of a challenge since it seems to be idiot proof and designed to go into the fiber optic port in only one way.

Definitely saved a ton of money buying from amazon too!

One end did not have protection on it when shipped which worried me a little as well.
