This product works as intended and is very high quality.
We are very happy with the adapter.
4/5 as does everything you really need this adapter to do, loses a star for the quality from the audio port.
Picture quality is good and audio is a plus - most dongles like this that i've encountered in the past haven't had the audio capability.
Packaging/appearance
It was easy to hook up right out of the package.
Competitiveness
While i don’t regularly need to do this i have an old 24in dell ultrasharp monitor which runs native 1920x1200.

It will only output sound through the auxiliary cable

This is also not backward compatible so you cannot say plug in your vga device into the hdmi port

It does only output to 1080p maximum through this but many monitors i have seen that are vga do not even go past 1080p unfortunately

I got it mainly because a client has a projector i used occasionally at their office that does not have hdmi inputs but has vga which my current laptop does not
