Pros

It is worth the price if you are protecting expensive gear. Finally amazon has them in prime!

With everything these days having electronics in garage door openers, on-demand hot water heaters, radiant heating systems, etc. I plan on purchasing the same unit without the remote switch for an application that does not require it.

This is the one you want! When researching surge protectors, this one came recommended. This is probably the only surge protector i've ever owned that genuinely merits the name.

Cons

It buzzes like a refrigerator. It trips the breaker every single time i plug it it. It makes a high-pitched, rhythmic squealing, like a car with a bad serpentine belt.

Buyer beware. This one had been opened by somebody else then returned as evidenced by the condition of the internal cardboard packaging and the missing screws.
