Pros & Cons
Pros
Led readout & outlet on front. Purchased for osha compliance in cubes with long runs from wall outlet to pc.
Good product. Performs just as expected and looks great. Otherwise good. A solid option.
The metered 15a pdu works fine. I have a full 42u rack so i have to make sure i don't cause the breaker to flip. We have two tripp lite ups's, on two backup generators and use this pdu to transfer power if one of the systems fail.
Enclosure is strong and sturdy; the power cable is reinforced. Perfect for powering my rackmount audio gear. Mounted without problems in my rack.
Tripp lite is simply the best! Love this pdf, no more having to go to the office to restart frozen devices. Very simple, robust, and does what it is supposed to do seamlessly. The cycle option works very nice. If you need this and you know why you nee... Read More
Cons
Out of 7, 2 are bricked, one from attempting a firmware upgrade, and the other just randomly bricked. The manual even states that the total electrical current used by the pdu will be displayed on the digitial meter in amperes. Apc's support is still w... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Tripp-lite makes great equipment at quite reasonable prices for the quality.
No issues at all when the power goes out and both the ups's that it's connected to switch to battery (in ~10ms).
It will eat up your outlet access with the quickness.
There is a model more expensive than this one, with the added functionality of having two power inputs.
Packaging/appearance
Was able to put a lot of stuff on the shelf.
For some applications, you don't want a switch to turn off the pdu.
Competitiveness
Pros:- perhaps the only pdu model available that can mount in a 6u shallow wall-mount rack.
Much better than the ups products it supports.
I have everything plugged into a single cyberpower 1500va ups and it only registered 2 amps after plugging in my monitor.

Front facing outlets in large quantity like other models defeat the purpose of a clean organized rack
