Pros & Cons

Pros

The sockets are nice and snug but not too tight. The chord is heavy duty as well--can withstand flying shrapnel. It is made of strong materials with heavy metal housing.

The tripp lite power strip has a 15 amp breaker.

My house has zero plastic-housed power strips. I suspect that this will outlast me.

The switch holds up to that daily use like a champ. Could see it being useful to avoid someone bumping into the switch. The only thing is the switch cover box is a little flimsy.

It has tabs on the sides with a dimple you can drill out. Drill a small hole and then screw it directly to your project. Perfect for mounting to workbenches.

Between the heavy cable and the metal construction with it's own breaker, this is an example of how power strips should be made.

Price

At 2x the price of a cheapie you are getting 10x the value.

Get yours now before it goes up to $75.

I bought two back in 2016 for $15 each.

It is a lot overpriced, but i wanted a good one.

Competitiveness

I purchased this outlet strip along with several tripp lite isobar outlet strips.

This thing won't function any better no, but here's an example.

Some large adapters could block an adjacent outlet, but tripp lite does make other models with wider spacing if you need that.

This replaced another brand of power strip that was constantly tripping.
