Pros & Cons
Pros
This extender turns a single wall outlet into three grounded outlets, effectively tripling your power source. Trond adds a tiny blue led that lights when the splitter has power. This solves another safe-hazard problem, where a 3-prong cord and adapter... Read More
The build quality is robust, with durable materials that ensure long term reliability. Priced commensurate with quality. It is very well built and feels quite sturdy.
If that’s all you need, then this is a perfect fit. Make sure to measure for your needs.
Both ends - male and female - are 3-prong, with ground plug. Not only is this a 2 to 3 prong adapter, but it also offers the functionality of an outlet extender. Allows you to plug in up to three receivers for three- pronged plugs.
This comes in handy for those cases. It gives me extra outlets and usb charging ports. I just wish it has a usb plug too.
Cons
I just think it is as really missed opportunity that this thing plugs the wide way into sockets and not the other way around. It's a missed opportunity.
Highlights
Quality
It is very well built and feels quite sturdy.
These outlet splitters ate well built and work well.
I bought this to use behind a mirror that is covering an outlet, unfortunately i miscalculated the length and it fell short.
Despite the light, it is not surge protected in any way.
Price
Best of both worlds and at a minimal cost.
This outlet adapter is a great deal, especially when traveling or needing additional outlet space.
Overall, a good value for its price.
Other than that, it performs well, looks ok, is not the easiest to use, but its a great value at only $9.
Shipping
We went to ireland for 9 days and needed to bring an outlet converter.
Packaging/appearance
I do not see any ul or etl certifications on the cord but the product packaging says it is spt 14/3 gauge rated for 125v/15a 1875 watts.
The package comes with 2 adapters - i ordered the white and they look great.
Competitiveness
But not worth the money paid for them, can get similar plugs cheaper elsewhere that will work in the same places.
These are more compact compared to other offerings out there.
I have similar ac splitters from ge but they stopped selling them and released a much larger version.
