Pros

It's definitely as bright, if not more so, than my halogen fixture. The amount of light it puts out is amazingly bright - i keep mine dimmed most of the time. The only downside is that it goes on at full brightness when connected to a smart outlet.

Cons

It's not bright enough for me to read. Also the on/off button looks very cheap.

I bought this to replace an aging 300w halogen lamp.

So, i bought some chrome-plated 10lb weightlifting plates and added one on top of each base.

I decided to get torchiere lamps so i could bounce the light off the ceilings.
