Works great with the hitachi magic wand.
I haven't tried it with tools so i can't speak to how it functions in that regard, but i'm very happy with it for what i needed it for.
It slows down the mixer about 30% or so with the bowl empty.
Price
Use it to dim you lights - blows the price off any official light dimmer and works just as well!

If there was more information about it on line i would not have purchased it as i needed it to vary a heating element stencil burner to be specific and found out that it only works for electric motor devices

Mainly run it from 2pm to midnight but have left it on all night and didnt turn it off till about 8 or 9 am quite a few times
