The microphone is very clear and not too sensitive where it picks up everything but you may need to play around with the settings. Muting is pretty easy just pull the microphone up.

Mic is very choppy sound is poor. Theres is a horrible static screeching noise that makes the headphones unusable. I have to keep reconnecting the usb and sometimes the static goes away but these headphones are a pain. Get a better headset.
