Weve had this for a few months now as a potty training aid and its been absolutely leakwaterproof all the water stays outside and soaks the sheets but thats ok since the sheets go on top of the protector

The mattress underneath has stayed bonedry through a handful of accidents

Its also quieter than i expected basically noise from plastic rustling around has been no issue at all
