For this reason some people say they shouldnt be used as a primary tarp because they can leak a little water but for a groundcloth theres nothing better

Run a wash load with no soap nothing in the washer

Try not to crunch it into a ball but rather put it in gently around the central agitator if you have one make sure to put the load on delicates with as little of spin as possible otherwise you may ruin your washing machine

Make sure the load is on cold and that no detergent is in the system

Some say put it through a wash cycle sans soap to soften it up and take the crinkle out i just soaked it in a bucket of hot water for a while then kneaded it a bit on the way out it worked
