I had been using a combination of a cantenna and a omnidirectional antenna with a couple of routers running ddwrt but had started running into trouble i think that the router hardware was just not up to the task and it was a pain to work with

The really nice thing about these selfcontained antennas is that you can just log into the antenna and configure it how you want you will want to make sure you have upgraded the software first to the latest version

One end of our link is already about 50 feet high while the other end is only about 15 feet

An excelent product from ubiquiti if you have a direct line of vision you will not have any problem with these guys installation

This device actually works excellently well for the simple reason that it does what you need it to to just receive wifi signals
