Pros & Cons
Pros
Excellent quality, easy setup, easy management, and great flexibility. Fits on nanostation just fine. Works perfectly and he is able to stream hd movies to his roku.
Ghz beam. Bridges about 100 yards to my outbuilding. Indoor/outdoor airmax 8dbi cpe to extend my network to the next building.
The nanostation has a lever activated suction cup. Zip ties are just useful for securing everything you want to secure.
Cons
I wasn't impressed by the suction cup. It attaches to the antenna using the molded lower mount point only. The place where it slides in isn't the correct size, and even if it were there's a ledge preventing it from fully mounting.
Highlights
Quality
High quality product, it worked really well for us.
Good wifi booster instead of running wires to an out-building.
After a several months the mount has not failed once.
Too bad support is so awful for such an incredible little device.
Price
Ubiquiti is great stuff - high performance at a very reasonable price.
Id also say that it is too expensive.
I did have a great idea for an inexpensive way to provide a safety line to catch the nanostation when the suction cup fails.
Competitiveness
I wanted to allow my neighbor to access my plex server more or less as an experiment.
