Pros & Cons
Pros
Ubiquiti offers just as good of performance for less than half the cost of bigger named networking equipment. Its so perfect. My purpose in typing all this is to address some of the negative reviews i have read.
Controller takes a bit of savvy to setup in aws but works great. If you have a standard account for every day use and a separate admin account, the controller software installs itself to the ubiquiti unifi folder on the admin account's users folder.
Ubiquiti aps are the best. Wifi signal in the house. All 30 devices throughout connecting in upper 90% signal strength. Easy to configure and mesh together multiple aps using the unifi controller software.
This adapter works perfectly as if i connect to my isp connection using an ethernet cord. Handles a lot of clients compared to d-link or tp-link devices. My router is a ubiquity edge, this is a unifi, and both have their own interfaces. Ethernet.
Cons
The instructions are in tiny tiny letters, need 20/15 vision or magnifying glass to read. The switch and the aps have no on board intelligence at all. The unifi support is totally garbage, their devices are basically a beta. Tried to install it offlin... Read More
Wi-fi in the middle of the house is very slow. After 3 hours, gave up & returned for a router. Range isn't as good as i would have expected either.
Highlights
Quality
But i am very happy with the quality, ease of use, and performance right now.
This product is very easy to install and configure and is easy to set up.
Signal was still unstable/weak and would cause drops on calls/lagging all the time.
My particular android device could not manage to connect to the ap for initial setup for the most part and when it did, i didn'... Read More
Price
I wish i went straight to this rather than waste money on cheap tp-link trash that can't give you decent connection anywhere.
Packaging/appearance
The last picture clearly shows that there are two access points included in the package.
Competitiveness
Handles a lot of clients compared to d-link or tp-link devices.
I'll never go back to another manufacturer.
Signal broadcast strength is less than the base cox wifi router (to be expected) but the ap hit all the hard to reach areas that i planned.
