This is my first raid i have not had it long but i had the same problem as another reviewer where it would not enter raid but showed up as 5 disks

Works great but when i first received it i couldnt get it to power on i was convinced it was dead on arrival

My instructions did not mention you have to press and hold the power button down if you change the raid config

You have to keep holding it until it powers up

After the first powerup you have to shutdown and restart and then it works

One other thing to watch out for is the dip switches they stick out beyond the case a tiny bit
