Deg plug allows me to plug the roku into the back of the tv. These adapters have a solid feel, there is a noticeable click when the cables are plugged in and they are gold plated. Using these with a 3d / 4k compliant sony av receiver.
Cons
This product is defective. Electrically intermittent, resulting in flashing green lines on the screen.

It did not work with my typical hdmi standard quality cables.
That indention made it impossible to plug the stick directly into gen tv without using the dongal that amazon provides with the stick.

Suited my needs at a low cost.
This is a decent adaptor for the money.

But my 4k hdmi cables were also arriving the next day.
Guick arrival no problems with return of 2nd order which was not needed ordered by error i would recommend this company

I bought these because the hdmi ports on my tv faced outward from the tv

I wanted to redirect the cables so that i could zip tie them to the tv mounting bracket

I needed 2 for each hdmi cable to get them turned 180 degrees to face the bracket and take the strain off the connections in the tv

Maybe slightly less robust as the monster brand but for home use i cant tell a difference really except slightly in build quality

Im writing this review because it seems like a great device it just didnt do what i consider dimming dimming to me is what you dining room lights do have a dial or a slider and you adjust it so it is just right
