Full of full color illustrations and straightforward instructions. The internet has so much information that it's overwhelming to know if you're on the right track. Clear instructions, good pictures.
This is super motivating. Bought this for gift for new home owner ( daughter). Really worthwhile. Really impressive volume - worth every penny.
For any dyi homeowner this is a must have guide. I’m a 50 yr old 1st time homeowner and have been fairly comfortable w/ tools & figuring things out via research.
Cons

Very good, thorough, basic information, about any project you would need.
I used to have an old reader's digest home repair and improvement book, buy it was outdated and not complete.
It is a nice hard cover which will keep it in good condition for years and nice color pages.
Price
You can’t beat it for less than $20.
And affordable projects that make a difference.
For $20 i was interested enough to purchase the book but didnt have the highest expectations.
A textbook from college was easily over $100.
