Pros & Cons
Pros
You have to play around with it a bit to see what suits your needs. Awesome item to have when needed. This paratinder is great.
Once the sheath is cut, exposing and separating the interior cords is easy. The wax makes it so the tinder cord is usable even if the cord gets soaked in water. I use this cord when i go camping and it helped me out to setup a shelter from the rain.
Cons
The threads blackened from all the sparks laying next to them. Not the best para cord not a good fire starter.
Highlights
Quality
I’ve found that locally foraged fat-wood works remarkably well and is free.
Used this product on a week long camping trip.
It's got all the regular benefits of paracord with the option of canablizing the cord to quickly start a fire on a rough day.
Price
Pretty cool stuff, and a great price.
Packaging/appearance

Competitiveness
Made a paracord bracelet with a fire starter out it.
Still it would not light with a ferrocerium spark rod and striker.

After exposing the inner red tinder cord and cutting off about 4 inches of it i unwound it and tried to get it to light with a ferrocerium spark rod and striker

The sparks rained down on it strike after strike and made small black burn spots

Sometimes a very short lived very small red coal would appear and then quickly go out

Still it would not light with a ferrocerium spark rod and striker

The inner red tinder cord appears to be a wax coated or wax saturated cotton twisted string

However the wax is also what makes it difficult to fluff enough for use with a ferro rod

Other than that it is a standard 550 paracord and can be used for all the same purposes
