The cover is printed with the black color and markings of the keyboard underneath they did the same for the nubbin

I imagine if you tipped an entire coffee on it the fluid would get in around the edges but for me this thing prevents sticking keys and yuk off the keyboard

Other things i noticed that i liked the clear portion of the skin appears more clear as opposed to whitish than other skins ive used in the past on a backlit keyboard the skin makes the light look softer more spread out and reduces some of the light bleedone star was taken off for the nonmatching function button symbols e
