Bought this about a month ago after lots of research on the web. Planning to buy a 2nd one. The royal service commitment is the cherry on top.
I hear the sound and see the flashing light, but it does not disturb us. The pir control is my favourite setting along with the strobe light.
The waterproof and solar rechargeable design is a highlight. Despite a few rain showers, the device remains functional. The solar charging panel is efficient, and the option to charge via usb during overcast days is handy.

For the moment i am happy with the device as an alarm, and the strobe function does work on mine.
