We tried out the unit on some jewelry rings necklaces and it was observed to remove some grime after allowing the device to run a few cycles we used detergent soap and i have to say the jewelry did shine a little more after cleaning so the frequency was enough to break loose the small particulates that might have been missed during a manual cleaning
