Pros
Air rifle with crosman hollow points and single shot tray. The tank is pretty voluminous compared to the benjamin so you get a *lot* more shots per fill. At 10 yards, the spread seems to be a little under 1/4 inch.
The only ding i have with the gauntlet 1 and the gauntlet 2 is their inability to maintain consistent accuracy given it's long floating barrel design. Great value and a very well made product.
The trigger on the marauder is significantly more refined, but i have yet to try and adjust it. The cocking lever is stiff, but loosens up with cycle use. Gun is not heavy and trigger pull is excellent!

It is comfortable, reasonable weight, well balanced, accepts standard picatinny/weaver accessories, and is very precise.
The power a 28gr pellet clean shot through a 3/4 inch thick plywood not that abs stuff!
It's a shame that umarex can designed such a great gun and then be too incompetent to build it.
Price
For the price you can't beat it.
This is fantastic air rifle at a very reasonable price.
The trigger is a longer pull then i care for but all around great for the price.

Thanks to amazons great return policy i swapped out the original gun with all its problems noted below and got a new one

I sight mine in for dime size targets at 50 yards no problem with the gauntlets but dont touch or bump the barrel before the next varmint needs to be dispatched or you will miss

I decided to try the new gauntlet 2 which supposedly has a lot of the same improvements i had incorporated into my first gauntlet

My new gauntlet 2 arrived and i was very disappointed to see that their manufacturing quality had not improved

The barrel was loose the tank was positioned so it couldnt be filled the mounting rail for the scope was loose but worst of all and what will cost the most to repair the air system has a slow leak losing about 500psi a day

For now i get to refill my gun every few days without even firing a shot
