Pros

My new one is taller, much shorter and is clamped on. It is accurate and hits hard as advertised.

The recoil is there but not enough to detract from shooting it. They shoot a little better that the barracuda match pellets at least in my rifle. The scope of course is not very good, but it does not take away from how ell this gun shoots.

Variables are,pellet weight, dimensions,wind speed etc. It handles heavy pellets very well.

Well made with nice finish. Ruger nameplate means quality unit. The supplied scope is not the best quality but it is just fine for the applicationand the price paid.

Cons

Accuracy with either the scope or iron sites is simply non-existent. Front blade sight also obscures the scope reticle with the included mounts. After not being used for an hour or so, it generally shoots high and right then becomes erratic.

These claim 1200 fps. All my other guns 28 of them get the same or higher fps and they claim 1000 fps. This is also heavy and loud and buzzes from spring slap. It's average just like the yukon.

Learning and making friends with the dynamics of a magnum springer is something i find very satisfying.

It is worthless with the included scope.

The scope it comes with is very cheaply made so if you need a scope i suggest you buy and mount a quality one.

Shipping was 5 days late but it shoots great, not a beginner rifle but a great value.

Competitiveness

More heavy than again a regular ruger 22.

Performs like a rws 350 magnum for a lot less $$$.

This is a very high-quality air rifle

14 grain h&n baracuda match pellets shoot rather well.
