The soles of the shoes are very stiff and barely bend. Lots of rubbing and are just horribly painful after walking a distance.

I always have to put arch support inserts in athletic shoes these are the first that i have ever bought that needed none.
I wear inserts in my shoes so the first thing i do is take the inserts out and put mine in.
