Pros & Cons
Pros
Center of gravity pen is a soft and malleable cushion for your fingers to rest upon. The ink writes darkly so smoothly and effortlessly. The grip is really soft and squishy which makes writing with it really comfortable.
The pen has a good weight and is balanced slightly towards the nib. The ink is also excellent because unlike other ballpoint pens, it doesn't take very much pressure to write. The jetstream feature feels like the pen is moving by itself.
Jetstream has a gel grip that can’t quite be described as ‘squishy’. They just glide better than g2's in my opinion. I buy jetstream because ink is smooth, never skips and never creates globs of ink.
Unlike the included cartridge, the energel refill fits the barrel perfectly. It's easy to hold and refill.
Cons
Not my experience; some letters are blotchy and take one or two seconds to dry. The cartridge is not the same as in the 4&1 multicolor pen, so i couldn't just replace the cartridge. Perhaps this is because i do have issues with gripping pens, but ... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Made of metal has a good grip for writing long hours refillable ink.
Good gel grip, great brushed metal body.
I do field work and expected this pen to fail within a few weeks.
I have to write every single day in my journal and was getting very bad pains in my finders on my right hand, especially my middle finger.
Price
Really nice pen for the cost, i used to get compliments on it.
(and no this one wasn’t dropped or the tip damaged) … for the money, totally wasn’t worth it!
A little pricy, but overall worth it.
This is a great price and the white and silver looks really snazzy in person!
Packaging/appearance
The included ink cartridge had a scratchy nib, exhibited railroading, and looked terrible.
Competitiveness
Also this pen is also compatible with pentel energel refills along with sharpie s-gel, uni-ball 207 refills in addition to one ... Read More
Great pen very similar to pilot's dr.
The price tag is more than i would want, but i'd rather have this pen than 10 inferior ones.
The alpha uses the same jetstream refill as uni's prime (not the parker g2 or pilot g2).
