Pros

Kuru-toga - turning led, secondly is sturdy, light and very easy to write with. It's like writing with silk while being fed chocolate morsels.

It has a mechanism that automatically rotates the lead while you write, maintaining a high point sharpness at all times. I'm left-handed and this doesn't get the side of my hand dirty, the lead doesn't break, i don't have to sharpen it.

Metal bodied kurutogas feel good in my hand. While i'm not usually a fan of thicker pencils, this one is very comfortable. One thing i don't like though is the grip.

The gen 1 kuru toga mechanism is an extremely high quality mechanical pencil. Made by mitsubishi in japan, the half metal half plastic body gives this perfect balance. I find it easier to reach lighter tones with this pencil as well.

The kurutoga is a flawless pencil. Comes in a variety of grades, all with the same interior mechanism, but with different outer casings.

Cons

The mechanism broke after 2 months of usage. Not only does it no longer rotate, it is jammed shut and can't even load leads. Lasted less than one minute before self-destructing.
