Pros & Cons
Pros
The kurutoga mechanical pencil rotates the lead as you write so you never have a side that's too flat or too sharp. Lead advancement system is precise. Unless you're trying to be flashy with your mechanical pencil, working as a drafter in an office fu... Read More
This pencil is so cool! The pink is a nice glowing rose color, bought 2, going back for more, love it! It’s just amazing! Such a cute pencil for my college note-taking.
Cons
The metal piece retracts all the time. The eraser is tiny and it's difficult to use. The gimmick of the lead rotating is useless.
Lead no longer retracts in the pencil nor can i get the barrel to siphon lead into the dispenser so now i have the shell of a pencil. Lead hole is too small. It is completely jammed and we are not able to add a new lead or use it.
Highlights
Quality
Best mechanical pencil i have ever used.
The pencil is comfortable to hold and write with, the lead advances well and i liked the first one so much that i bought a few more.
Once you get used to the rotating lead it ruins the writing feel of traditional mechanical pencils.
It keeps the led sharp but is slightly uncomfortable to hold.
Price
It's reasonably priced, making it accessible for most budgets without compromising on quality.
It's a great mechanical pencil at a decent price.
Packaging/appearance
Good news about the packaging: it appears to provide a wealth of information about the pencil.
The writing on the packaging is in japanese; however, i watched a video and realized i didn't need any further instructions.
Competitiveness
The endgame of mechanical pencilbefore i purchased this pencil, i worked with uni kuru toga elite/roulette mechanical pencil, s... Read More
From my point of view, this version is the most successful version of all other kuru toga versions.
I compare using this pencil to writing with a ballpoint pen.
If you compare it to knurled grip on the elite version, it is nothing special.

I hated having to rotate my pencil when writing as staying on one side and the angle in which i write makes the lines thicker

Everyone’s hand will have varying pressures on the pencil and page so it may be perfect for some and not for others
