Pros & Cons
Pros
The graphgear pencil is mechanically superior to all my other mechanical pencils. Overall a really good pencil especially for drawing.
High quality pencil, manufactured in japan by mitsubishi. Some use these automatic type pencils for drafting. Politics aside, if it isn't lines on tracing paper, these units are pretty good.
The mechanism for retracting the tip works and is quite novel. The pencil expands back to the shape you see in the product image. The non slippery grip, the retractable tip, and feels comfortable to hold.
Cons
It's not even as good as the cheap version of the kuru toga (cheaper version of roulette) it's too light, which affects how easy it is to aim.
This pencil simply doesn't work. It breaks leads about every two minutes or so during normal writing, rendering it completely inoperable.

It writes beautifully, and when you pair it with the right type of lead, it is a pencil that you can take pleasure in using.
I will admit that as much as i like the pencil, the quality does make me question the pencil.
I have not had this problem with the original graphgear pencil.
Price
It's a decent pencil flr the price.
Shipping
The shipping is fast, pretty good built quality.
Shipping took forever, but worth the wait.
Competitiveness
One of the best, on par with a rotring.
I have used pentel products for years.
I’m not about to carry a pricey rotring collection around town.
Okay, so i bought this as a travel pencil because i lost my rotring with retractable sleeve.
