The plastic bnc socket does slip over the bnc connector and it seems to make contact fine but i cant turn it so its locked to the bnc

The only con is that the exterior of the bnc connector is plastic

If you intend to install this on a radio or transmitter that doesnt get banged around a lot then it should not be an issue
