Pros & Cons
Pros
Radio works great for communicating with trucks while loading feed products. Works fine in close range, about half a mile. Better antenna than the rubber ducky antenna it comes with.
Rechargeable nimh/nicd aa batteries are nice, keeps you from having to carry around 9 spare batteries.
Cons

Highlights
Quality
Works well and with an aftermarket telescoping antenna has good range
Very nicely made and works great especially with a good antenna!
Using that power supply, the carrier goes up to about 4 watts into a 50 ohm load, vs about 2 watts on ni-mh batteries.
Once i start transmitting, or have lots of activity on it, this is reduced to about 3 to 4 hours.
Price
A nice inexpensive cb to keep in touch while on the road.
I replaced the stock rubber duck with a $20 extendable 3.
The whole set-up: radio, batteries and long antenna was less than $120.
Had to but it from local electronics shop for $5.
