Pros & Cons
Pros
Battery takes a while to fully charge but lasts almost 6. Hours. Only gripe is it charges via mini-usb.
Overall i am satisfied with my purchase. From what i researched this is the best in it's class. I am happy to say the sds100 does not disappoint.
This is the premium scanner that will handle the most radio systems that operate today. This one handles them all like a champ. The build is very sturdy and i'm sure i will replace this radio when technology changes.
Cons
Sds100 is the worst scanner make by uniden. Second new scanner from uniden that stop receiving within a year. One seller, i read after buying this from the atrocious webtron-x amazon seller, says that 75% of all scanner returns are because the s ds100... Read More
The build quality of the sds100 is cheap. If it does, they are inadequate or broken. Not enough to justify the >$600 price tag imo. It is pure marketing to fanboys who will struggle to make this work and never admit it is an inferior, overpriced to... Read More
The company i bought it from here in amazon, webtron-x, has no support and will only accept returns with a 20% restocking fee. Not only do they have * qa it appears there repair techs can not fix cold solder joints. There are numerous reputable seller... Read More
I have no idea whether i have a bad sds100 or one that needs an aftermarket antenna. I already have the gps antenna for my 436 model, which will only work with the s ds100 after you purchase an adapter usb cable.

You tilt it the wrong way and it just completely detaches.
That said it doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap or like a toy and it does look like a professional product.
Price
I will say that i do think it’s overpriced, but only for some quirks.
I do wish for the price it was a higher ip rating!

First upon unboxing it lacks “sturdiness” or “ruggedness” that some professional radios or even ham radios have

It doesn’t feel like a baofeng but it’s very light mostly due to that it’s an sdr based platform so it’s lighter and the plastic seems thinner
